At Magic Hosting, we provide a free transfers from other hosting providers for new accounts within 30 days of signup.
If you have already used your free transfer (or if you are outside of the 30 day window) and you would still like to have Magic Hosting move your content for you, then simply contact our Sales Department to request a price quote.
Manual website transfers include most things that are not cPanel to cPanel transfers. Additionally, this includes work such as splitting addon domains into cPanel accounts. Here is a list of Manual Transfers:
While Magic Hosting has a well trained and very experienced Migrations team, some sites cannot be moved due to technical limitations. Here is a list of sites/hosts which we cannot transfer from:
We also cannot transfer from hosts that do not allow access to your website files (typically by FTP) and/or databases and/or the data in those databases. Without access, we cannot copy and transfer your site.
Even if you don't qualify for a free transfer from our Migrations team, we can still move your sites. To request a quote, please contact our Sales Department to request a price quote.
For a cPanel to cPanel migration you will need to provide your cPanel URL, cPanel username, and cPanel password.
For all other migrations we will need access to your existing control panel, root access, or you will need to provide a full package of your site’s files and databases so we can perform a manual migration.

We aim to migrate most websites within 2 working days – if not much sooner. The complexity of a website plays the biggest role in how long it takes us to complete a migration. If you have a simple website, we can complete your migration within 1 day.
During the migration process we will keep you updated and let you know when your DNS settings can be updated.
Once you have updated the nameservers on your domain DNS propagation will occur. Please don’t make any changes to your site until your new nameservers fully propagate across the web.
No. During the migration process your content will be present on both the old and new servers, so it stays online throughout. We'll give you a preview URL to check your site is up and running exactly as it should, before we make the full switch to our platform.
Yes, your domain names can be transferred to MagicHosting as well. However, we highly recommend that you initiate the transfer of your domain/s after the migration of your website/s has been completed
